  1. COMMENTS FOR 11/11

    -11x17 sheet
Title box too bold? Dwg name too strong, put at right where eye goes first. Repetitive info at left. Need to show date, Presentation name ("Final Design", etc.) , author, scale (if any), client organization - so maybe "Garden shed" will do to identify the project.

    - Roof analysis
Good to have comparison all in one place. Anything GOOD about any of the schemes? all comments are negative.

    - Alingment (sp)
Sketches - hooray! If light is important, then A is best. Also sheds least water onto ramp. Center door maybe not useful now that water and butterfly schemes are being superseded.

    GENERAL CONCERN
Rotating shed 90 degrees, cuts off upper area from entry. When you're up there, you cannot sore who's coming until they get to the top of the ramp. Similarly, when you come in, you cannot see who else is there - could be embarrassing. Maybe the shed needs to be narrower and deeper. Maybe the old configuration was best after all, but moved away from the gate.

  2. MORE

    - double door lock.
Is this all about keypad locks? Maybe too complicated. Maybe back to padlock and hidden key.

    - Photos
Good selection of things we tend to forget about. How do we print out and mount on a board so we can point to then in discussion? Or put on 11x17 sheets big enough to see, but not too many pages?

    - Night Images
What a good technique for getting the viewer to see what the main point of the photo is. But too many - need to cut in (what?) half.

    - .DWG images
Have to be .pdfs for mac users. Cannot open.

Could not find any other new dropbox stuff.
    - Site Plan
    - Elevations and Site Sections
    - Floor plans with program areas.

    Looking forward to class today.
